Flags for business

Your followers love flags: how to earn on every first order they place

You post a clip from the away end, the whole stand in your club's colours. Under it, the same comment as always: where do I buy that flag? You paste a link, someone buys, and nothing comes back to you.

Our Affiliation Program changes that last part. You get a personal link and a code. Your followers get 10 euro of credit on their first order over 59 euro. You get 10% of every first order that comes from you, and 15% from the tenth order of the quarter. Here is how it works, what it pays, and how to talk about a flag without sounding like an advert.

The recommendation that costs you followers

The risk in a link is not the commission. It is the product behind it. A follower orders a flag for Sunday's match, the shop answers «about a week», and the flag turns up on Monday.

He does not blame the shop. He blames you. Our affiliate page says it plainly: what you recommend has to work, or you pay for it in credibility. That is why the flag arrives on the promised day, sewn to measure, and why we guarantee the date.

Why flags belong on your channel

Every video about a country, a trip or a match already has a flag in it. Vexillology channels talk about little else. Your followers are not looking at the flag by accident: it is the thing they belong to.

You do not need a huge audience. You need the right one. In the words of the programme page, a thousand people who go to the stadium or sail are worth more than a hundred thousand distracted ones.

What you earn, exactly

These are the figures on the Affiliation Program page today, copied as they stand:

  • 10% of the order, as credit on your account, on every first order tracked from your link.
  • Cash instead of credit, if you are VAT-registered: we pay it against an invoice.
  • 15% from the tenth order of the quarter. There are no levels to climb: you reach ten orders in a quarter and the share goes up.
  • Paid on final sales. The commission matures once the order's return window has passed.
  • Ordinary orders only. It does not count on resellers' orders: a reseller already has his margin.

Read the first line twice. You earn on the first order of every person you bring. Your work is to bring new people, not to sell twice to the same ones.

What your followers get

Your audience does not get just any discount. They get 10 euro of credit on their first order over 59 euro, through your link and your code. It is a real gift, not a code lying around on every coupon site.

And they see the delivery date before paying. If the match is on Sunday, they know on the product page whether the flag arrives in time. Nobody has to guess, and nobody comes back to your comments to complain.

Content that sells without sounding like an ad

The best affiliate content is the content you would make anyway, with a flag in the frame. Four formats that work for flag people:

  • The unboxing with a date. Show the delivery date on the product page, then the parcel arriving on that day. The promise and the proof in one clip.
  • The flag of every country I visit. A travel series where each stop ends with the local flag. Your followers collect along with you.
  • The club flag before kick-off. Hung on the balcony, in the car window, in the stand. Match day is the moment your followers want one too.
  • The story behind a flag. Why a flag is shaped the way it is, why one hangs upside down by mistake. Our articles on flag proportions in Europe and upside-down flags are a starting point.

Three rules that keep your account open

The programme is short on rules, and each one protects you as much as us:

  • Your link and your code are personal. They are yours, and they track your followers, nobody else's.
  • Never on coupon sites. The code never goes on coupon sites: that closes the account.
  • Tell your followers it is advertising. The European Commission's Influencer Legal Hub states that under European consumer law, advertising must be disclosed, and it names affiliate marketing explicitly. A clear line in the caption or on screen is enough to keep your audience's trust.

One more choice: you are an affiliate or a reseller, not both. The reseller earns on the margin, the affiliate on the commission.

The moment: start a season ahead

The Rugby World Cup 2027 runs from 1 October to 13 November 2027. For a sport fan page, that is six weeks of match days, each one with a flag in the frame.

The 15% comes from the tenth order of a quarter, and ten orders are built over several videos, not one weekend. Ask for your link now, and by the first kick-off it has been in your bio for months. Tell us your channel, your audience and your numbers: we look at whether flags really belong there, and then you get your link and code.

Your next step is one page: ask for your link on the Affiliation Program.

Going further: your community's own flag

Some audiences already rally under a symbol of their own: a fan group's crest, a channel logo, a flag your followers invented in the comments. That flag can exist, sewn, and on sale under your name.

That is Flag Studio. You design, and we do the printing, sewing, shipping, invoices, returns and customer service. Every time somebody buys your flag, part of the price is yours. Vexonaut, an enthusiast, signs 59 flags on his own page in the shop this way: read his story, then see who else can earn from a design. Applying is free: design your community's flag with Flag Studio.

Your followers already wave something. Let it be theirs.
